National Night Out 2013
For the second year in a row the Forest County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Crandon Police Department hosted a
National Night Out event in the parking lot of the Forest County Sheriff's Office. The event is designed to strengthen Police
relations with the community. Once again the event was huge success. There were lots of prizes the kids had a chance to win, in
which one was a Traxxas truck. Other prizes included pedal bikes.
Something new to the event was a firearms simulator which gave the kids a chance to play shooting games. The kids also had a chance to dunk a Deputy in the dunk tank. Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Jason Babich also took a seat on the dunk tank allowing the kids a chance to dunk a State Trooper.
The Wisconsin DNR also participated in National Night Out 2013. Wardens setup an Archery stand giving the kids a chance to shoot a bow and arrow.
The Forest County Sheriff's Office and the Crandon Police Department would like to thank everyone who participated in helping make this event a success and we hope to see you again next year.
