Forest County Sheriff’s Department is now accepting applications for Full Time and Part Time Correctional Officer/Dispatcher positions and to establish an eligibility list for future positions.
Individuals will be required to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays as shift rotations dictate. Applicants will be responsible for operations of the telephone and radio systems, jail responsibilities, clerical duties and 911 operations
Salary and Benefits:The starting hourly rate for full time pay for this position is $17.15 per hour, $17.75 per hour after one year; and $18.46 per hour after two years of service, based on 2018 wages. Benefits include: Wisconsin Retirement Fund, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Sick Leave, Vacation Time, 9 Paid Holidays, Uniform Allowance, Deferred Compensation and Education Incentive Pay, if applicable.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years; US citizen; high school graduate or equivalent; have a valid Wisconsin driver's license; good verbal and written communications skills; prior experience and knowledge of computers; ability to handle stressful situations; and the ability to work varied shifts. Applicants must be self motivated and able to work independently of others.
