Forest County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for Full-Time Correctional Officer positions. No experience necessary, we offer on the job training.

Applicants will be responsible for the supervision, safety and care of inmates as well as maintaining security and safety of all aspects of the Jail.

SALARY & BENEFITS: Hourly wage rate is $18.54 per hour to start, 40 hours of vacation time after 90 days of service. Pay wage and vacation time continues to increase with longevity. Benefits include: Wisconsin Retirement Fund, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Sick Leave, Vacation Time, 9 Paid Holidays, Uniform Allowance and Deferred Compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age; US citizen; high school graduate or equivalent; have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license; good verbal and written communications skills; basic knowledge of computers; ability to handle stressful situations and the ability to work varied shifts. Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work independently of others.

Part time employees will be offered shifts to work day and/or night shifts, weekends, or holidays to fill in as needed. Applicants will be responsible for the supervision, safety and care of inmates as well as maintaining security and safety of all aspects of the Forest County Jail.

SALARY: Part-Time hourly wage rate is $18.18. Overtime rate after 40 hours.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age; US citizen; high school graduate or equivalent; have a valid WI driver’s license; good verbal and written communications skills; basic knowledge of computers; and the ability to handle stressful situations.
