The Forest County Sheriff Jail/Corrections Division maintains an 80 bed facility that was completed in 1997. In addition to housing our own inmates, the Forest County Jail houses inmates from Oconto County. The Forest County Jail imposes the following fees on Sentenced Inmates:

Booking Fee - $20.00
Daily Room and Board - $20.00 a day
Huber Fee - $15.00 a day + Room and Board Fee
Electronic Monitoring Fee - $35.00 a day total.

The Forest County Jail no longer accepts clothing items for inmates, only the following items will be accepted at the front window. Contacts and Solution, Glasses, Medication.

Funding Inmate Accounts

There is a Kiosk in the lobby of the Sheriffs Department to deposit money for the inmates. The Kiosk accepts both cash and credit card.

Wisconsin Statewide VINE System

The WI Statewide VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding the custody status of their offender and to register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offenders custody status changes. The VINE toll-free number for the WI Statewide VINE system is 888-868-4631. This service is provided to assist crime victims and other community members who have a right to know about the offenders currently in the custody of the Sheriffs Department.
